Life, eh?
This is how you can tell you're a band nerd: you just finished practising your trumpet for 4 hours, your face is killing you, but you still want to go longer; you're listening to 'Flight Of The Foo Bird' by the Count Basie Orchestra and trying to pick out a second trumpet part. I probably should've gone to the movies tonight.
Big Band Dance is coming up on the 23rd. Get your tickets, people, whoever may stumble across this (I have no illusions about my blog being read and adored by fans the globe over). We're playing a couple of Doors tunes, which should be good, as long as Brandon and Joel can sing them. (I really shouldn't be criticizing, since I can't sing and Joel can. I've never heard Brandon sing but he probably wouldn't have wanted to if he couldn't). Ray Charles, Count Basie, Billy Joel, should be an awesome set.
I'll get Cuba pictures up as soon as I get the bloody scanner working. With the pictures, come the stories, so you'll just have to wait.
